How to control Lines per Inch
To control Lines per Inch on Appx Output’s, set the "-pitch" (really "point" size) printer/form control option to the desired number of points. 

 For example:

       72 points = 1 line per inch.
       36 points = 2 lines per inch.
       18 points = 4 lines per inch.
       12 points = 6 lines per inch.
       11 points = 6.55 lines per inch.
       10 points = 7.2  lines per inch.
        9 points = 8 lines per inch.
        8 points = 9 lines per inch.
        6 points =12 lines per inch.
